So...if youve been keeping up with my facebook statuses, you know by now, that I did not get Tinkerbell. And neither did about 900 other people.
This morning, I woke up around 4:30, went for a run to clear my head, got ready at 5:30, and I was out the door by 6:40, arriving at the audition around 7:15, 45 minutes prior to sign in time. There were about 40 people in line ahead of me.
Keep in mind, this audition was for all of the fairies (Tinkerbell, Aridesa, Fawn, Silvermist, Rosetta, and Terrence), the princesses (Aurora, Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Ariel), the princes, Alice, Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, and Wendy, Mary Poppins
By the time 8 AM arrived, the line must have been at least 300 people long. We walked inside, got measured right away (Ive shrunk!!! Im 5'1 now!!!) and got our numbers. We then went into a room along with 49 other people. We were instructed to get into rows according to our number and talk amongst ourselves while the judge looked us over. Within 15 minutes, 5 people were chosen to move on the the 2nd round, while the other 45 of us took the walk of shame, passing everyone still waiting in line to go in.
When I walked out, it was about 8:45, and the line was to the back of the parking lot, at least 600 people long, even though registration closed at 9.
We have determined though, that when choosing these people, they choose the plainest looking people possible, people that they can completely alter with make up. Natural Beauty features are hard to disguise, thus causing difficulties to make the exact faces of the characters. Because believe me, hundreds of gorgeous girls walked out of there empty handed.
Two of my friends however, did move on, both guys. One got sent home in the 3rd round, and one of them will be Peter Pan. (this happens to be the ex lol)
Im not devasted..at least i know theres nothing wrong with me. a little sad that i didnt get it, but its not the end of the world. ill live.
